DESCRIPTION:Guided Biofilm Therapy with Sophie McInnes from EMSFull day with hands on training - lunch and refreshments will be provided.Learning Aims/ Objectives expected are:\n\nUnderstand biofilm’s impact on oral and systemic health\n\nDiscover GBT’s role in preventative dentistry and prophylaxis\n\nLearn to use GBT in non-surgical periodontal treatment\n\nGain hands-on experience with AIRFLOW MAX, PERIOFLOW and PIEZON PS\n\nReview clinical evidence and case studies supporting GBT\n\nPosition GBT as a practice builder to attract and retain patients\n\nEngage with expert trainers and peers to optimize GBT in your practice\n\n \n\nDescribe the role of the dental hygienist/therapist in the assessment, treatment, and maintenance of a patient with dental implants.\n\nIdentify the equipment and materials necessary to provide adequate support to these patients.\n\nUnderstand the necessary skills and knowledge to provide assessment, treatment and supporting care competently and confidently for these patients.\n\nUnderstand when referral for more specialist care is necessary.\n\n \n\nGDC Outcomes A&C\n\n \n\n
