BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Paediatric Dentistry Management 6th November 2025 UID:139 DESCRIPTION:Paediatric Dentistry Management- Immediate trauma, Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation (MIH) and Caries.Thursday 6th November 2025 9.30am-4.30pm This is a practical course which will be held at Advanced Dentistry & Clinical Skills Centre in Perth - presented by Dr Mary Skene and Dr John Linden.Mary Skene Bio -After completing undergraduate dental training, Mary sought post graduate training dental/ medical experiences in various locations around Scotland/ North England. On completion of her specialist training, Mary was appointed as Specialist Paediatric dental clinical lead in West Lothian for 7 years. Last year Mary re-entered training to complete her consultant examinations- she is now based at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People Edinburgh and Edinburgh Dental Institute. Mary's passions are in post graduate teaching and equity of patient care.\n\nJohn Linden Bio -After graduating from Glasgow Dental School and completing his vocational training year in Ayrshire, John completed three years of dental core training working within hospital and community paediatric dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral surgery and orthodontics across Scotland.  He has since worked within the Public Dental Service in Glasgow and then subsequently in NHS Lothian with his practice limited to paediatric dentistry. He has obtained his membership for the Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Newcastle University. John is currently a Specialty Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow and holds an Honorary Teaching role with the Dental School. He is currently undertaking a Master’s Degree in Health Professions Education and joins the Scottish Clinical Leadership Fellowship 2025 cohort with NHS Education for Scotland.\n\nCourse Aims & Objectives\n\nAim: Review the paediatric management of immediate trauma, Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation (MIH) and Caries, reflecting on recent guidelines, evidence and best practice.\nObjectives/ Outcomes: Review the management of immediate trauma reflecting on IAPD guidelines.
