This combined session equipped dental therapists with vital knowledge and practical skills in two key areas of digital dentistry and oral cancer detection.

The first part of the session shifted focus to digital advancements in dentistry, providing an in-depth look at current digital workflows and technologies that are transforming patient care. Delegates gained a clear understanding of how intraoral scanning fits into the modern dental workflow and observed a demonstration of the Dentsply Sirona Primescan.

The second part of the session focused on the early detection of oral cavity cancer. Delegates reviewed the key signs and symptoms of oral cancer and discussed effective health promotion strategies targeting smoking, vaping, and alcohol use.
