This presentation has been targeted specifically for general dentists and dental care professionals working in primary care.
Aims
This webinar will provide an overview of oral potentially malignant disorders and how these should be monitored and referred.
Intended Learning outcomes, by the end of this presentation
Participants should be able to name and recognise common oral conditions that have a potential to become malignant
Participants should be able to describe and identify suspicious appearances within lesions
Participants should understand the importance of clinical monitoring within lesions, appropriate education of patients in regard to this and how and when to refer patients to a suitable service

Anjali Chawla - Speaker Biography
Anjali completed her undergraduate training in Glasgow in 1990 and postgraduate training in England. She spent a short time working in the Salaried dental service in Australia and returned to England where she worked as a GDP till 2002.
She returned to Glasgow following this to work in practice and Hospital service and completed further training in sedation and implant dentistry. Since 2020, she has worked exclusively in Secondary care in her position as Specialty Dentist in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine. She has recently completed a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education at University of Dundee.
Anjali continues to be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in these specialties.
